ABOUT THE CAPTAIN - Over 30 years of fishing experience. - Awarded The International Game Fish Association’s #5 Captain of the World. - Expert in Fishing the waters of Destin​,​ FL with knowledge of all of the top fishing spots. ABOUT THE BOAT - Well equipped 2001 customized 22-foot Cape Horn offshore series boat with an outboard motor​,​ full tower & controls​,​ giant live well​,​ passenger space​,​ rod holders and storage space. FISHING TRIP TYPE= Spot Casting - Spot casting trips are for the more advanced angler to fully participate in the hooking part of the capture. The captain will otherwise cast to the fish and hook it. The captain will then loosen the drag and hand the rod off to a selected angler. This type of fishing can be more hunting than catching​,​ but the prizes are very sweet. FISH SPECIES The species we spot cast are: Cobia​,​ Tarpon​,​ Pompano​,​ Triple Tail​,​ Dolphin Fish​,​ Barracuda and the explosive​,​ very common​,​ Bonita (or little Tuna). WHAT'S INCLUDED - Boat​,​ Captain​,​ Rods​,​ Bait​,​ Fuel and Your Fishing License - High quality sun block spray and towels - Fish cleaned​,​ bagged​,​ labeled and iced for your cooler at the end of the trip - Texted recipes to match your catch - Pictures texted to you THE RODS - We use light tackle to medium tackle spinning rods. THE BAIT - Throughout the summer months we throw one of three different mesh nets to catch menhaden​,​ greenies​,​ spot minnows and croakers to be used for live bait. We buy live shrimp​,​ oyster and fiddler crabs to catch sheep head​,​ trout​,​ reds​,​ pompano and black drum. We tend to use store bought bait in the winter. WHAT YOU'LL NEED - Proper clothing​,​ footwear​,​ sunglasses (polarized sunglasses are recommended) - Food and drink - Cooler if you plan on keeping your catch (no wheels or coolers larger than 40 quarts​,​ please) ADDITIONAL EXPENSES - Gratuity is customary at the end of each trip. If all went well on your trip (which is our mission)​,​ we would love to receive a 15% tip or more.
